I’m taking a break from the Nightmare series this week, there is simply too much Freddy in my life right now, I never thought that’d be a bad thing but there you go.
But I’ve been thinking as of late. What makes a good horror movie? We all know, and regularly mock the bad ones (yes Troll 2 I’m looking at you). But we never really sit down and discuss what actually makes a horror good.

There are plenty of classics people love. The Hammer House of horror is a staple to every aficionado, and the 80’s slasher films are now classics, but a lot of them aren’t good.
