Warner Bros. have announced an open casting in search for a young star of their upcoming Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
This Saturday 18th July, girls between the ages of eight and 12 are invited to visit the Excel Centre in London and audition to star alongside Eddie Redmayne. The character is Melody, “a haunted young girl with an inner strength and stillness. She has an ability to see deep into people and understand them”.
J. K. Rowling has penned the screenplay, which also has former Harry Potter director David Yates on board too. The film is set for release on 18th November 2016, and should be one of the biggest films of the year.
This will be exciting news for any budding young actresses, or indeed any young Potterheads who want an opportunity to be part of the magic. So if you think you know a girl who has what it takes, get rehearsing and head to London this Saturday.
