It was another roaring success for Jurassic World, taking an impressive $81 million in its third week. However, it was Pixar’s emotional animated feature Inside Out that narrowly pipped it to number one this week with $83 million.
New releases Ted 2 and Max opened strong and entered in third and fourth respectively, while British drama A Little Chaos couldn’t even reach the top 20. Terminator: Genisys and Magic Mike XXL also soar into the top ten following their wide releases. Age of Ultron, Pitch Perfect 2, Fury Road and Tomorrowland all fall out of the chart.
Jurassic World will start to slip down the chart, but is working its way up the all time list, sitting not much short of Furious 7 and Age of Ultron.
